Executive Secretary

Beauty Emefa Narteh is the Executive Secretary of GACC. Prior to this, Beauty served as the Acting Executive Secretary and Communications Officer of GACC. Beauty mobilises support through increased awareness raising and continued sensitization of citizens on the basic anti-corruption laws especially the Whistblower Act 2006(Act 720). This is expected to promote increased transparency as empowered citizens hold duty bearers to account. Beauty also coordinated the World Bank funded West Africa Contract Monitoring Network in Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Liberia. The project supported the multi-stakeholder networks to monitor contracts and to advocate for improved governance in priority sectors.

Beauty holds a Master’s degree in International Affairs with a concentration in Communication and Development and a graduate Certificate in Women’s Studies from Ohio University, United States. Beauty also has a certificate in Executive Communications and Governance Reform from the World Bank and the Annenberg School in the United States, and a BA from the University of Ghana.

Beauty is a Ford Fellow and an Accredited Member of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana. Beauty has over twelve (12) years experience in communications, advocacy, public relations and development work

Head of Programmes & Deputy Executive Secretary

Bright  Kwadwo Sowu is the Head of Programmes and Deputy Executive Secretary of GACC. Bright holds an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, U.K where he was a Commonwealth Scholar. He also holds an M.A in International Affairs and a B.A in Psychology, both degrees awarded by the University of Ghana.

Bright has worked with the International Programmes Office of the University of Ghana as a Programmes Coordinator. He has also worked as a Research Officer with the Embassy of Japan, Accra. During his study in the U.K, Bright volunteered with the Humanitarian Centre, an international development network, as a Programmes Assistant in charge of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL). Mr Sowu’s last appointment was with the Delegation of the European Union in Ghana, where he worked as a Programmes Officer.

Bright has a passion for development work and is very excited to be part of GACC. He believes that a corruption-free Ghana will ensure that the country’s resources benefit the entire populace significantly.

Monitoring and Evaluation & Learning Officer

Michael Adisu is the M&E and Learning Officer of GACC. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences with Economics and Sociology as option from the University of Cape Coast.

Michael assists programmes implemenatation ans also in monitoring corruption stories in the media, code these stories using a coding template, input them into an SPSS data sheet and make a narrative analysis of it.

Michael also has experience in research particularly in the field work as well as in project monitoring and evaluation.

Head of Finance

Godfred Oppong Amoako is the Head of Finance for GACC. Godfred Oppong Amoako is an experienced Finance and Accounting Professional with over 10 years’ experience in the field of Financial Management, Audit and Internal Controls as well as Budgeting and Budgetary Controls. Godfred is very skilled in Excel and proficient in the Financial Management System of Trading and Non-Governmental set ups as well as general administrative practices.

Godfred is currently the Head of Finance for Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition and was formerly with Armajaro Ghana Limited as Internal Audit Officer and District Accounts Officer respectively for several years. He also worked with Offinsoman National Health Insurance Scheme as an Accounts Assistant.

Godfred is a finalist of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG). He also holds Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Cape Coast and Higher National Diploma in Accountancy from the Cape Coast Polytechnic.

Communications Officer

Faustina Djabatey is the Communications Officer for the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC). Faustina is a Communication and Media Professional with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism awarded by the African University College of Communications (AUCC). She also holds a certificate in Programming & Networking awarded by the National Institute of Information Technology (NIIT). Faustina promotes the GACC brand through implementation of projects and resource materials as well as the GACC social media strategist. She advocates for citizens and stakeholders’ support both online and offline to promote integrity and government policy reforms.

Faustina has over four years’ work experience in journalism with good media relationship, communications, corporate social media management and advocacy. Prior to joining GACC, Faustina volunteered with the Fair River International Association for Development as the Communications Associate in charge of the organisation’s branding, managed the website and social media accounts. Faustina has previously worked with TV3 Network and its affiliate radio channel 3FM as a reporter and Business News Producer. She also worked as a reporter with the Africa Crusader (Newspaper firm).

Faustina is very passionate about promoting integrity and every other actions which brings about transformation in the society. It is with the same passion that led Faustina to join the GACC team to contribute to achieving GACC’s vision “A Corruption-Free Ghana”.
