The Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC), in partnership with the Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP) and Transparency International, with support from the British High Commission, will convene a National Anti-Corruption Dialogue on Thursday, 10 September 2026, to assess the Mahama Administration’s anti-corruption commitments and reform efforts after eighteen months in office.
The Dialogue, themed “From Commitment to Delivery: Reviewing the Mahama Administration’s Anti-Corruption Agenda After 18 Months,” will bring together key stakeholders to discuss progress made, implementation challenges, and priorities for strengthening Ghana’s anti-corruption and accountability efforts.
The event will feature a keynote presentation providing an assessment of the state of anti-corruption under the Mahama Administration after eighteen months in office. Drawing on GACC’s policy brief series, the presentation will examine key commitments, reforms undertaken, significant developments, implementation gaps and outstanding challenges, and propose recommendations for strengthening accountability and governance.
A moderated panel discussion will follow, providing an opportunity for panelists to reflect on the findings, discuss emerging governance and anti-corruption issues, and propose practical actions for advancing reforms.
The discussion will be moderated by Madam Esther Ofei-Aboagye and will feature Manasseh Azure, Investigative Journalist; Mrs. Mary Addah, Executive Director, Transparency International Ghana; Mr. Kobina Ata-Bedu, Management Consultant; and Ms. Mawuena Azumah, Communications Officer, Youth Bridge Foundation.
The Dialogue will also include expert reactions and a question-and-answer session, giving participants the opportunity to engage the presenters and panelists and contribute additional perspectives on Ghana’s anti-corruption agenda. The moderator will conclude the session by summarising the key issues, recommendations and action points emerging from the discussions.
The Dialogue will draw on findings and recommendations from GACC’s policy brief series tracking the implementation of the Government’s anti-corruption commitments. It will provide a platform to assess progress, identify implementation gaps and generate practical recommendations for strengthening Ghana’s anti-corruption and accountability efforts.
The Dialogue is expected to increase public awareness and understanding of progress and challenges in implementing anti-corruption commitments, generate actionable recommendations, strengthen collaboration among state and non-state actors, and promote greater citizen engagement in monitoring governance and accountability commitments.
The National Anti-Corruption Dialogue will be streamed live on GACC’s Facebook and YouTube pages, providing an opportunity for the public to follow the discussions and engage with the conversation.
